Can Partners Tell If I’ve Had a Penile Implant?

Patients commonly ask whether a new partner will be able to tell that they have an implant. The answer really varies.

Tactile Experience: What Do Partners Feel?

The question of touch really varies depending on whether a guy is erect or flaccid.

In the Flaccid State:

• The penis may feel more firm to the touch than a completely natural, unenhanced flaccid penis

In the Erect State:

• Once erect, the underlying corporal bodies compress the implant by sandwiching it between the internal rigidity of the penis and the outer skin.
• As a result the implant is firm, natural-feeling, and seamlessly integrated.
• Note that this represents a massive difference from the case of fillers and fat transfer where the erect penis is engulfed in a layer of eternally soft outer tissue.
